Three hundred minutes of short length masterpieces to be shown at X Kazan Film Festival

The audience will watch a collection of cult American Academy award nominated pictures.

(Kazan, 10 September, Tatar-inform). A Cinema Night At Oscar House event will take place within the 10th Kazan Film Festival tonight. The audience will watch a collection of cult American Academy nominated pictures. The show at Mir cinema will take five hours, 300 minutes of uninterrupted screen time, the organisers say.

The Oscar’s Night programme includes premieres and best short length films of recent years made by directors from the US, Canada, Finland, Denmark, the UK, Belgium, France and Spain, and crowned by the 2014 winner Helium by Anders Walter. The other pieces in the programme are Do I Have to Take Care of Everything? by Finnish Selma Vilhunen, That Wasn’t Me by Spanish Esteban Crespo, and others.

Besides the film shows, the guests will be in for photo sessions, competitions with prizes, a musical programme matching the cinema nigh’s atmosphere and other surprises from the Kazan Film Festival organisers.

The Cinema Night will begin at 7 pm and end at midnight.
